Southern Africa Post-Apartheid? The Search for Democratic Governance
In November 2003, NIMD organized in co-operation with the South African NGOs CPS and Idasa a regional conference, 'Ten years of multiparty democracy in South Africa'. The conference outcomes were bundled in a publication, 'Southern Africa Post-Apartheid? The search for Democratic Governance'.
The publication was launched in Cape Town and Johannesburg in the end of September and beginning of October 2004. The outcomes of the publication were discussed with civil society, and while in Cape Town, parliamentarians from South Africa examined the role South African political parties should play in the region.
