Lotte ten Hoove joined NIMD in November 2006. She started as an intern and later Junior Policy Officer, responsible for a study of political party assistance in post-conflict societies and the development of an NIMD post-conflict policy. Since January 2009 she is working as Policy Officer.
Lotte graduated from the University of Amsterdam in political science and international relations, with minors in French and philosophy. Her Master's thesis dealt with the regional peacekeeping capacities of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and its interventions during the Liberian civil war.
After her graduation she followed a 2-year master’s programme on conflict and security studies at Sciences Po in Paris. During her studies she worked as an intern at the French Ministry of Defence, supporting the research activities of the officers of the Centre d'Hautes Études Militaires.
