Should the international community hold rebels-turned-politicians in post-conflict countries accountable for their possible criminal past, or use openings to look towards building a political stable and peaceful future? Are these two ways of looking at transitional situations compatible and are there possibilities to integrate looking back and moving forward?

NIMD has invited Emeric Rogier, head of the Situation Analysis Section in the Jurisdiction, Complementarity and Cooperation Division of the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to talk and discuss these topics with NIMD on July 9th at noon.

The talk will focus on the cases of Kenya, Afghanistan, Uganda and Georgia.

If you would like to attend this lunch-lecture and discussion, please register at moniqueronza@nimd.org before July 6th.
