Georgia: Mass protests test democracy
Tens of thousands of people are taking part in mass democratic protests to demand the resignation of President Mikheil Saakashvili in Georgia.
Since the ‘Rose Revolution’ in 2003 Georgia has undergone a period of democratic reform combined with an ever increasing political polarization. NIMD has been actively working with the mayor political parties in Georgia since 2004.
