Jerome started his work for NIMD in August 2011. At NIMD Jerome is responsible for the programmes in Tanzania and Tunesia.
Since 1998 Jerome has been involved in many projects at the Dutch Prodemos, House for Democracy and the Rule of Law, the former Institute for Political Participation (IPP). He was senior manager of the political programme of the civic educational visiting center and head of special projects.
Before that he occupied various positions, such as editor and assistant project manager of the online political preference test StemWijzer (VoteMatch), programmer of a diverse series of debates on democratic, electoral and constitutional reform, and a consultant to and workshop leader of several international projects, including for NIMD in Georgia, Burundi and Uganda.
Jerome also shortly worked as an political editor and coordinator at the Dutch broadcasting company KRO and at the Netherlands Government Information Service (RVD) of the Ministry of General Affairs, the Prime minister’s ministry.
Jerome studied political science (University of Amsterdam and New York University) specialising in elections, electoral systems and media use of opinion polls in election campaign periods.
