Kati started her work at NIMD in August 2011. At NIMD Kati is responsible for the programmes in Georgia and Burundi.
Kati studied International Relations at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. After graduation she moved to Brussels where she worked as a political assistant for a Dutch member of the European Parliament for two years.
In 2008, Kati joined the Group of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament. There she worked as political advisor for the committees Foreign Affairs and Security & Defense, and assisted the working group on minorities. Furthermore, she was responsible for the EP delegation for relations with Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
