Pepijn Gerrits

Job Title: Director of Programmes

Pepijn Gerrits heads the NIMD Programme Team since March 2011.

Pepijn is a Social Anthropologist, graduated in Development Studies and Latin American Studies, with a long track record in strengthening democratic governance around the globe.

Pepijn joined NIMD as Policy Officer Multilateral Programmes in 2006. In 2007 he became Regional Director for Asia and Europe, and since 2009 also for Latin America.

From 2003 to 2006 Pepijn worked in the Dominican Republic for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) where he headed the Democratic Governance Unit.

Pepijn started his career with DHV Consultants. As an Advisor on Institutional Development, he assisted various institutions in the Netherlands, Eastern Europe and Asia to improve their organisational capacities.
