Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy

On November 17, the Council of the European Union agreed to adopt the Council Conclusions on Democracy Support in the EU’s External Affairs. NIMD has actively contributed to the preparation of this new EU policy framework.

In 2008 NIMD helped launch the European Partnership for Democracy (EPD), an organization founded by some fifteen civil society organizations, that aims to harmonize democracy support initiatives within the European Union.
