During the 2007 Partnership Days in September NIMD and its international partners discussed the partnership relation. Ownership and performance were identified as key elements.

They have a huge membership but – outside elections - only little influence. African youth wings struggle for a larger role in politics.

NIMD celebrated the farewell to its President Van Kemenade with a debate on the future of Dutch political parties on 12 September in The Hague.
